Is This The Blazers Year?
Many fans are exited for the Blazers but all along feared another let down.

All season blazer fans have been hearing that this is our year. Portland has been the feel good story of the league this year because they continue to play through all of their injuries. The Blazers have played through more adversity then any other playoff team in the league. After their star player Brandon Roy got hurt, many fans believed that the Blazers could not pull off the upset of a high caliber playoff team like the Phoenix Suns. Once the series started and the Blazers came out on fire and won game one in Phoenix, Blazer fans were ecstatic. They knew that the team who wins in game one of a series wins the series most of the time. As the series went on the Blazers not only got blow out in phoenix, but also on their home court. After game three fans had lost a lot of hope. Fans across the country thought that the Blazers just got lucky in game one, a lot of Blazer fans were embarrassed by the play of their team. There was a turning point in game four when Brandon Roy came off the bench and went into the game, he didn’t score as many points as usual, but him being on the court lifted the Blazers to a victory. Even with all the momentum from Brandon Roy, the Blazers let an early lead slip away from them and were never able to comeback. In game six Portland stayed in the game with the Suns but were never able to take over the game. Portland fans were disappointed the Blazers lost their last home game of the season, but were proud of their team for how well they played all season long. Stoller had a mixed feeling about the Blazers all series.  One teacher said “I think Phoenix is the better team.” While some students said “ I'm happy we made it this far.” These fans all look forward to next year where hopefully the blazers will stay healthy and make a better playoff run.
