Cute, Comfortable, Couture!

Juicy jackets seem to be an ongoing trend at Stoller Middle School

Juicy Couture jackets have been a popular product among many girls in Stoller Middle School. They vary in both color in material. Some jackets are made out of terry cloth and some velour. They have been seen in pink, green, purple, gray, black, blue, sparkly, and anything else imaginable. This trend actually surprised me so I went in to further investigation and asked a few girls why they wore these Juicy jackets. Kristin B. said "They're trendy and match with various outfits." Myranda T. claims "I enjoy wearing them because they're comfy yet still fashionable." One anonymous source says "They're very attractive and cute plus you can find trendy ones at Nordstrom Rack for a good, cheaper price than at the actual Juicy store." Maggie M. told me "It's simple. They're cute, comfortable and couture! Despite the way too expensive price, what's not to love?" I asked these same people and a few more where they got their Juicy jackets. 1 of 8 said they got theirs at the actual Juicy Couture store. The other 7 said they got them at the Nordstrom Rack. When I compared both stores prices I noticed that the average Juicy jacket from the Juicy store was $40 more than the ones at the Nordstrom Rack! I went to Nordstrom Rack and asked an employee if their Juicy jackets were the same as the ones at Juicy. She said "All of our Juicy apparel, including our jackets, are specially made from Juicy specifically for our stores. They come straight here and are the same as the Juicy jackets in their stores." However, when I looked at the multitude of different Juicy jackets they carried, I noticed that very few were made of velour and most were made of terry cloth, a material that most towels are made of. A few months ago I went to the actual Juicy store and noticed that the majority of the jackets were made of velour and few were made of terry cloth. I did some research and found that jackets made of terry cloth actually cost less to manufacture and produce. This would explain why the jackets at Nordstrom Rack are sold for less than those at Juicy. But girls who buy their jackets at the Nordstrom Rack don't seem to mind. They're still Juicy and still both attractive and fashionable. When it comes down to it, if it's still name brand and in style, why not pay a cheaper price?
