High Waisted Skirts Are Back?

The new trend at Stoller: high waisted skirts

In the halls of Stoller Middle School there is somewhat of a diverse group of people whether it be height, hair color, favorite shoes, race, or the crazy outfits! With many people having various opinions on what they wear it all seems to be what is more attractive as well as some what comfortable. The new trend of high waist skirts with a cute shirt on seems to be the current attire for young women in this school. While some like to keep the outfit simple with a plain white, black, or grey shirt with a plain colored skirt, others wear many colors on their shirt and skirt. I caught up with Emily L. about this outfit and asked why she wears this outfit to school and she replied with “I think the normal kind that girls wear at the waist is sort of Elementary School, but once you get to middle school It’s sort of more mature to wear it at the waist.” Many people have many perceptions on this but the question is, is it comfortable? “It is comfortable but if you bend over everyone will see your underwear so you have to wear spandex with them.” Does this make it un-comfortable or do people not really notice? Emily likes to wear white, black, or grey shirts with a plain colored skirt ,she loves the whole outfit. You may have seen others wear this and with this new attire there are so many perspectives on it, but it seems the new trend spreading all over the world. Hayden Panettiere, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan, and Reese Witherspoon are a few of many celebrities that have worn this outfit on the red carpet and may have inspired others to try this new look out. There are so many new trends in this school and our whole world, this seems like the one that is rising the most.
