iPods are now the thing, so they should be listening.

Beaverton School District set rules that Middle School students aren’t allowed to listen to iPods during school times from when the bell rings, at 9:05 to 3:45 when school ends. Although, some teachers let students listen to iPods during tests regardless of the policy. As we interviewed a red hall eighth named Elizabeth E. We asked her varieties of questions such as, “What do you think about students listening to iPods during test?” As she didn’t struggle to answer the question, she said “I think we should be able because for some people they are more focused.” Following to that question, we also asked her “Do you think students listening to iPods would affect their score on tests?” She replied saying “Yeah. Maybe they’d score higher.” But some students would take advantage of listening to iPods during tests and quizzes. They wouldn’t pay attention and they would be more distracted. As we interviewed Elizabeth we also interviewed a teenage parent named Tee U. We asked him the same questions as we did with Elizabeth, but we got different answers for the questions. We asked him “What do you think about students listening to iPods during tests?” He had his hands on his head and began to say “I don’t think it’s a good idea because I don’t think teenagers would actually pay any attention in class, but it also depends on the student, too.” Following to that question we also asked “Do you think students listening to iPods would affect their score on tests and quizzes?” With no hesitation he said “Yes, absolutely, they won’t pay attention to what’s on the test and they might just guess on questions to just get it over with.” With teachers teaching students with earphones in their ears, it might just not work out so well. As people might say that school is for learning, it might be something else.
