What are the most popular brands that teens at Stoller wear the most?
In the halls of Stoller, I hope you have seen the wide range of unique and different clothing students wear. As you must know, there are the popular brands that everyone shops at that allow more people to want that “in” item. What stores are the most shopped at? For guys and girls? We polled 100 students from Stoller, 75 girls and 25 boys. “What store is the majority of their clothes bought?” we asked this to all of these people. There were several different varieties of stores these teens shopped at. 20 different stores were mentioned, ranging from department stores, popular stores, and unique shops. The two most common stores were Nike and Forever 21.
Out of the 75 girls we surveyed, 28% said Forever 21. “Forever 21 is bomb status and very trendy. It has pretty clothes for a good price.” said Mimi N when we asked her. A lot of people told us that they liked Forever 21 because it is cheap and fashionable, and has really cute and pretty clothes. Girls had a variety of stores that they shopped at, and there were many new stores that were added to the list. The 2nd most shopped at store was Hollister. Approximately 22.6% of the girls chose Hollister as their number one store. “The clothes are chic despite the way too expensive price and low quality” said Magen M. The 3rd place was American Eagle, 12% of the girls said this. Some of the other stores that these girl teens mentioned were Abercrombie, Pac Sun, Kohl’s, Ross, Nordstrom, Hot Topic, Target, Macy, GAP, Wal-Mart, Aeropostle, Papaya, and Plato’s Closet. As you can see, there was a large range of stores girls shop at, especially compared to the guys at Stoller. Girls have a more unique and individual style than guys, and also tend to care more about their clothing than men do.
We surveyed 25 guys and asked them where they bought most of their clothes from and why. Over half of the guys, an astonishing 56%, said that Nike was their brand of choice. 2nd most chosen store was Ross, 12%. 3rd was Zumiez, a mere 8%. There were a few other varied brands that guys suggested but those were the top three. Since Nike was by far the most popular, we asked a few people who told us Nike was their favorite and asked why they preferred this. Dallas C. said that "It's cool athletic wear." Austin B. a seventh grader from Blue hall claimed that "Nike has cool clothes that are comfortable and also sporty." The majority of the guys liked to wear Nike because it was cool, comfortable, sporty, athletic, easy to wear, and also very popular. Many people wear Nike everywhere, not only PE! Both guys and girls wear Nike shirts, shorts, pants, headbands, shoes, jackets, sweaters, watches, backpacks, hats, drawstring bags, socks, and wristbands. Nike has several products that are constantly worn from the students at Stoller. Girls wear Forever 21 shirts, bags, sunglasses, pants, shorts, tank tops, jackets, cardigans, sweaters, shoes, dresses, hats, necklaces, bracelets, rings, scarves, belts, headbands, and a lot more! Forever 21 have so many different things to wear and is becoming very popular.
Our school has several individual styles and many different things are being worn. Although everyone doesn’t wear Forever 21 and Nike, those were the most popular. This is somewhat expected after constantly seeing all the clothing people have been wearing. Majority of girls and guys are seen wearing the typical outfits of the popular store brands like Forever 21, Nike, Abercrombie, Hollister, etc. But not all of our students! This is what makes our school unique, the variety of teens with different style and culture.
